Now, I work as a postdoctoral research associate and conduct research under Dr. Kessler’s direction in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at Iowa State University.
I ever worked as a graduate research assistant under the direction of Dr. Kessler, and received my Ph.D. from the Dept. of Materials Science and Engineering at the Iowa State University in Dec. 2008. My thesis research was including the development of “self-healing” composite materials and high temperature polymer composites, and received the Excellence Research Award.
I received M.S. and B.S. from the University of Science and Technology of China . USTC is a national research university in Hefei, China. The university is regarded as one of the most prestigious universities in China. It was founded in Beijing by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in September 1958. According to recent alumni survey, more than 500 alumni of USTC serve as faculty members in the universities all around the United States and Europe. Since there are lots of graduates of USTC studying and working in US (35 out of 45 in my class), USTC is also called “US Training Center” as a humor.
I have published over a dozen journal publications, holds 1 patent (pending), presented many talks at national and international meetings, and serves as a reviewer for many academic journals.
I grew up in Xi’an, China. According to Wikipedia, “As one of the oldest cities in Chinese history, Xi’an is one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of Chinabecause it has been the capital (under various names) of some of the most important dynasties in Chinese history, including the Zhou, Qin, Han, the Sui, and Tang dynasties.” The world famous “Terracotta Army” museum is located about 20 km nearby the city of Xi’an.
I’m a good photographer with +10 year experiences and still sticks on films, an active tennis player with a 4.0 NTRP skill level, and a motorcycle rider, YAMAHA R6.
